Privacy Policy for Children's Games

Summary

No personal data is collected from my children's games.

Privacy Policy for Children's Games

I (Mykaelos) do not collect any personal data of anyone who uses my games made for children. This includes any game that links directly to this "Privacy Policy for Children's Games".

I'm a parent too, and I understand the importance of protecting your child's safety and privacy. None of the games that I build for children under 13 will collect any data at all. You can be assured this is true, because the app does not require internet permissions (which means it cannot use the internet or network, which completely prevents it from sending any data).

Changes

If there are any significant changes to this "Privacy Policy for Children's Games", I will post a notice within the game itself that you need to review the changes I've made. The changes will also be listed in the "Change Log" below.

I will not notify you of minor changes like spelling, grammar, formatting, etc. because obviously, they do not matter within the spirit of this privacy policy.

Honestly, while I might add further clarification to sections of this document, the spirit of this privacy policy ("No personal data is collected from my children's games.") will never change. However, I needed to add this section just in case something unforeseeable (and probably outside of my control) happens.

Google Play and Android

I should note that Google Play and Android devices already have a built in mechanism that tracks when apps are installed and also how often that app is used. There is no personally identifiable information tracked, Google Play only shows generic group information about the users of the app, including: Device make and model, Android version, Country, Language, App Version installed, Carrier, and Active installs. For example, it might show me that there are 50 installs on LG G3 phones, but it doesn't say anything about who specifically owns those devices.

This information collection is not in my control (it's collected automatically by your device and Google Play). You may be able to disable it through your device or Google Play, but that is your responsibility to investigate it, as I have no control over it.

Other Games/Apps that are not Children's Games

This "Privacy Policy for Children's Games" also only applies to games that link to this policy and are obviously labeled for children/kids/babies/etc. I like to make all types of games, for any age group, and those games will have their own specific privacy policy. This will most likely be due to including ads in the game (hey, I have a wife and kid to feed too), and ad networks use an ad id system to track the user to show more relevant ads. Regardless, this will never apply to my children's games, because I will never put ads in them (I'm very against putting ads in baby/toddler games and my daughter always seems to click them accidentally too!).

A Call for Help and Feedback

Because I do not collect any data on how the games are played/used, I have no idea how other people use my games. If you run into any bugs, or usability issues (buttons don't work or are too small), or have any ideas you'd like implemented, please Please PLEASE reach out to me via email or leave a review on the store page!
